I just returned from Lake Guerrero and the fishing was great. In two days of fishing, Ray (my cameraman) and I caught 170 bass with the largest going 5 3/4 pounds. We had over 80 keepers. Most of them were caught in 6 - 10 feet of water in the flooded bushes. Watermelon seed and watermelon w/red metal flake were the colors. Dipping the tails in garlic chartreuse Dip-N-Dye on low light conditions worked better than not dipping them. 7 to 8 inch worms, baby brush hogs (Zoom), ring fries (Lake Fork tackle makes them), super flukes(Zoom) all worked well. Slow rolling a chartreuse/white 1/2 oz spinner bait also worked great. Topwater action was slow for us.

Ron:
The water at the islands was to cold to start the spawn there so the big fish
had not moved up. David Parkers group and our group had 10 to a limit of
keeper fish each day. The biggest fish that we caught as a group was near
6lbs.Looks like the spawn will get on strong in March & early April. Times are
changing there, when we started coming to the lake the middle of Feb. was just
right. Now the weather is still to cool with the fronts that we have here in
the states reaching all the way down there. Good luck to you on the new camp
and I will be talking to you later this year.
PS: If you change web pages or e-mail address please let me know. You can by
e-mail keep me informed as to the lake conditions and any other thing of
interest
Thanks
